Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of JoeHukum, operated by Aryabhatta Labs. By using the service you agree to them. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Aryabhatta Labs operates (Canada), without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Availability

JoeHukum is provided on an as-is basis. Features may change, and access may be limited or withdrawn at any time. During the limited beta, activation may require an invitation with available places. Usage and connection limits depend on your account and plan.

Your account

You sign in with Google or Apple. You're responsible for the security of that account and for the accuracy of what you ask JoeHukum to store. Don't use the service for anything unlawful, or to access data you're not authorised to access.

What JoeHukum does and doesn't do

JoeHukum reads your Google Calendar (read-only, and only if you connect it) and any mail you choose to forward to your JoeHukum address, to surface people, obligations and suggestions, and prepares drafts for you to review and send yourself. It reads only what you point it at, and it never sends messages, makes changes, or transacts on your behalf.

Connected Google email (internal testing only). Email connection is not offered to users; it is off by default and switched on only for internal test accounts. When a test account connects, Joe uses read-only access to recent inbox and sent mail according to its settings, including sender and label choices and exclusions. Reading can be stopped and the details saved from that account deleted. See the Privacy Policy for scope, stored information and retention.

WhatsApp (optional). You can send Joe messages, photos, PDFs and voice notes at +1 289 430 0386, or link your number from the app. We hold your number to recognise you and keep the extract and the chat turn, never a copy of media; a voice note is transcribed and the audio discarded. Messages travel through Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API under Meta's terms. Unlinking your number stops Joe reaching you there.

Recommendations & links

JoeHukum may suggest products or services and hand you off to the apps already on your phone, or to a web search or a third-party site when no app fits. Availability and prefilled details vary by destination. You review and complete any message, purchase or payment there. Joe does not ask for those destinations' login passwords or payment-card details; optional Google connection tokens and statement passwords are described in the Privacy Policy. Some links may be affiliate links, meaning we could earn a referral fee if you purchase — at no extra cost to you. Recommendations reflect what fits your context, not who pays us; any purchase and its terms are between you and that third party.

Intellectual property

You keep all rights to your data. We keep all rights to the JoeHukum software, brand and design.

Disclaimer & liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages, or for actions you take based on JoeHukum's suggestions. Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising from or relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose, or CAD $50.

Termination

You may stop using JoeHukum and delete your data at any time. We may suspend or end access at our discretion.
